The brand-new, third generation Nissan Versa is a sedan that underscores Nissan’s commitment to safe driving. Redesigned for 2020, the Versa stands as a prime example of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the automaker’s philosophy of designer vehicles that are smarter and safer than anything on the road.
Under the Hood
The 2020 Nissan Versa’s engine has been upgraded from last year’s version as well. Now 12 percent more powerful, the 2020 Nissan Versa is propelled by a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine offering 122 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque.
Versa S can be paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or an enhanced Xtronic transmission. The Xtronic transmission is standard on the Versa SV and SR trims.
Comfort & Convenience
The redesigned Versa also offers more trunk storage than previous versions. The 2020 Versa has a wider trunk opening and 14.3 cubic feet of cargo space.
A 7-inch color display with touch screen capability, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System and Streaming audio via Bluetooth, as well as a 12-volt power outlet, three USB ports, an iPod interface, Siri Eyes Free and a four-speaker AM/FM audio system comes standard on the 2020 Nissan Versa.
The SR grade features a six-speaker system, while the SV and SR Versas include leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are also available. In addition, SV and SR grades include NissanConnect featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Safety
An embodiment of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, the 2020 Versa can be equipped with Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of driver-assistance and intervention technologies that includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Intelligent Driver Alertness and Intelligent Cruise Control are also available.
